I just got 8 more GBs of RAM for my computer, it is the same RAM as the old one. When I installed it, the screen wouldn't turn on and the DRAM LED Red Light is on. I tried just using the old RAM, just the new RAM, and both again. I tried holding the MemOk button.
Specs:
EVGA GTX 1070
Intel I5-6500
ASUS Z170-A ATX DDR4
4x4GB HyperX FURY 2666Hz DDR4

You might think is the same RAM because it has the same specs or even made by the same company, but it might not be and it could have different IC chip than the one you have. The IC chip could even come from a different manufacturer.
Similar RAM modules, sold to work together comes in a kit, otherwise is not supported by the manufacturer.

Ram is sold in kits that have been tested to work together in Dual Channel to avoid issues you may encounter with mismatched ram.
That's why manufacturers and vendors won't provide support for that configuration.
Your RAM may have compatibility issues when paired with another module that was not tested to work in tandem with your module.
