PC not getting signal to monitor - not monitor problem

Monitor and PC have been working fine until tonight.
Turned on PC and monitor displays brand name then black screen. In upper right corner it displays HDMI, then dvi then via - in colour with black screen. It cycles through this repeatedly. PC sounds like it's loading. I know for sure it's not the monitor or cables. Have checked that GPU, memory etc are secure.
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Sue

To be honest, you haven't mentioned that part before, so I've had no way of knowing.
And it can often be difficult helping someone who doesn't provide all the details.
Speaking of which, where are those specs I previously asked for?
And by "PC sounds like it's loading" you mean you see the hard drive activity led flashing?
If you turn your speakers on, do you hear anything after a min or two?
List the full computer specs.
Also, people often presume that electronics either work or they don't, when in reality, that's not always the case (just because the monitor turns on and shows some message it doesn't mean it's in fully working condition!) and given the fact you've said the PC sounds like it's loading normally, I'd recommend you try connecting it to your TV via HDMI to make sure this is not monitor related.

Thanks Jason 201
but as I said I know it's not the Monitor .... it's brand new as are cables. Also I did try another Monitor.
Maybe psu is dying.
Any other thoughts?
