PC not performing to specs

I unboxed my PC today and it's had absolutely abysmal FPS on games it should be running pretty solidly. Games like Battlefield 1 get around 10 fps on low and less demanding games like Lego Star Wars: TFA (which isn't exactly known for its top teir graphics) needs to be run at 720p on low to get above 60fps solidly.

My specs are as follows:

Intel Core i5-7400 Kaby Lake Processor
Asus H110M-A/M.2 Motherboard
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
16GB DDR4 2133MHz
EVGA 80 PLUS White 600W PSU

Did you plug the monitor connector in to the videocard and not the integrated graphics output on the motherboard?

Just today?
Is the OS still running the initial updates?
And what else is running in the background?

Is this a prebuilt system, or something you put together?

Integrated graphics would be my first guess too with those fps...
