PC Not Shutting Down

Over the past two days, suddenly, my PC no longer shuts down entirely when I do the shutdown. Fans remain running and LEDs are still going even though the display turns off.

Any suggestions? Nothing has changed to my knowledge with the computer over the past couple days.

I've tried updating the Intel management engine driver and disabling it but nothing has helped.

Do you have the latest motherboard BIOS version installed?

Sure do - I did end up turning off the PSU and turning it back on. Booted the machine back up and shut down, it shut down immediately. Any idea what could have caused that?

Sometimes a Windows update will prevent immediate shutdown. It'll apply the updates before shutting down. Sometimes a process will hang during the shutdown process preventing the completion of shutdown.
