PC not starting now.

My old Mobo fried but it used to start at least for a second. I got a new Mobo Asus H61m-cs and also upgraded from i3-3210 to i5 2500. When I plugged in, It didn't start at all. Nothing happened.So I tried plugging the front panel power wire in every way I could but it failed.
I have antec vp500pc and r7 265.

Could be that 24-pin is dead.

A) Shortcircuit the power pins on the MB
-> If it dont start B) Shortcircuit the pins on the 24 pin MB connector on the PSU.
----> If the PSU dont start, the PSU is dead
----> If the PSU start, then the MB or the CPU (or both) are dead

Are you sure the PSU is not dead?

Have you tried a paperclip test?

PSU works for sure because when I tried the HDD and power lights into something else then it glows even when the psu's buroon is off or on

I tried short-circuit method. :0 PSU works as I said. I will try connecting without GPU. By the ways. I am confused, how should I connect my power SW wire. :0 I think I am doing it wrong maybe. I will also try using my old i3 as this i5 is a used one

If you said the model of your MB i could point what the pins you need to connect tge power Sw to (or at least shorcircuit to known if it works).

Have you plugged all the power connector to the new MB?, some MBs ask not only for the 24 pin but also for and auxiliary second 6 pin power connector and im not sure if it will power up without it.
