Pc not starting

So i was playing fallout 4 , when suddenly (actually playing after 3 hours staright) my game syarted lagging and by that i mean game was running at normal fps but it was getting stuck at frames so i decided to end playing and shut off my pc next day when i power on my pc it got to win 10 login screen ie the spinning dots but did not move after that ( after several attempts and automatic repair did the same with black screen and cursor so looked up on tom and found that it could pe hdd or ram issue so i just unplugged my ram cleaned it with compressed air and put it in another socket ( kingston hyper x blue 8gb 1600mhz) and did the same with hdd cables and then i installed win 7 on my pc (wanted to do that was fed up of win 10 ) and voila my pc started working but i wanna know is it a dust problem or should i be worried for that slot i havent checked that slot again . and should i replace something its been only 1 year since i have bought this pc so i still have 1-2 years more of warranty for everything

Try switching the memory back to the slot and trying again
