Question PC not turning on after installing a new CPU

Hello! Earlier today I received a new CPU, a Ryzen 5 5600x, to replace my old CPU, a Ryzen 5 1500x. After installing the 5600x, my PC would turn on but wouldn't display any video and my KB+M wouldn't work. I assumed there was an issue with the motherboard, and took out the 5600x and put back the 1500x. Now my PC will not turn on at all. I have checked all my power cables, compared to before and after pictures I took and everything checks out. The PSU was just working so I doubt it is that. I have also made sure my RAM is in correctly so I don't think its that either. I am quite worried I fried my motherboard though I have no clue how.
I'm also not sure why the 5600x wasn't recognized, since both CPU's are from the same generation. My specs are as follows:
Asus Prime B450 Plus Motherboard
GTX 1070
16GB DDR4 Ram
I'm not sure how I messed up this badly. Any help would be amazing.

I thought those were the same generation but maybe that was why the 5600x wasn't working. I'm also not sure what my bios version was, it probably wasn't up to date though. Either way I have no way to check now lol

Install the 1500x. Clear CMOS. Boot into Windows. Download the correct BIOS from ASUS website. Pay attention because you may need to update BIOS'S in a certain order. Once you have the BIOs updated and ready, swap CPUs.

Sorry if I'm not being clear, but my PC won't turn on. I definitely messed up with the bios updates but now I can't even attempt that.
I just tried the paperclip trick with my PSU and it's fan turned on. That means if nothing else turns on, my motherboard is fried right? I don't know how the hell I did that.

Switch off power at PSU. Remove CMOS battery from motherboard. Install 1500x. Reinstall battery. Switch on PSU. Turn on PC.

No luck sir. Took the battery out and followed your directions but nothing changed, it still won't power on. Unless you have any other ideas I'm just gonna get a new motherboard, this one was a few years old anyways. Appreciate the suggestions.

I'm not 100% sure to be honest, I know it's made by Acer and the part number is FSP500-70EP. It pushes 500W. I bought the computer off of a friend a couple years ago and thats what he had in it. Would it be smart to get a new one as well?
