Hello I am currently having some type of power issue with my computer, I suspect I have a psu or motherboard fault but not 100%, so could people try to give me advice so I can return a faulty part please.
I built a gaming around 4 months ago and everything had been working great until a couple of days ago, I tried to turn the computer on but nothing would happen but after I clicked the power button a few times it worked so I didn't think much of it, how ever yesterday the computer would not turn on again. The lights on the motherboard and gpu are lit up but when I click the power button nothing happens the psu or case fans don't even spin. I have ruled out a broken power button as my motherboard has a physical power/reset button and it doesn't turn on with them either. I have tried unplugging everything apart from cpu and the 24 pin/cpu power cable but same problem, tried checking 1 stick of ram in at a time in every slot, checked all cables to make sure they have not came loose, I don't have a spare psu To hand to check that. I have noticed if I turn the switch off on the back of the psu and leave it for a while the computer will then some times turn on and work like normal (apart from fans spin slower then they should) but as soon I shut the pc down it won't turn on again.
My computer specs
Corsair 450D
Asus Formula VII
I7 4790k
Corsair H100i
16GB Corsair Vengeance
Corsair AX760 PSU
GTX 970 Strix
Samsung 1TB 850Evo SSD
Quick edit, when I do manage to get the pc on it no longer picks my ssd up
