PC Not turning on!

So I just finished setting up my new Pc, before I installed the CPU everything’s will stay on for a very long time. But when the new cpu was put in the socket, and turned on it will instantly turn on and then off.

Here’s my hardware everything’s brand new and tested.


- POWER Corsair rmx 750w Gold
- z270 gaming motherboard pro carbon
- CPU i7-8700
- Asus atroz gtx 1070
- 16gb ram 3200mhz
- Nzxt kraken x62

What makes you think a coffeelake CPU will work in a z270 board?

Intel 8th gen CPU i7 8700 will work only with Z370 mobo.

So I have just finished building my new pc. Every time I power it on it turns on for one second and instantly powers off. Before I installed the cpu it was all fine. But once I put it in this all started to happen.

I read the article on things to check and troubleshoot, I did all of that and nothing worked. I check if cpu cable was connected right, I check 24 pin and everything was just fine.
All the hardware is brand new!

INStead of z370 mobo I have a z270 gaming carbon pro

Yep. Your motherboard is not compatible with that chip.

these two parts are not compatible with each other
Either you get a Z370 motherboard for the I7-8700 or get an I7-7700K for that Z270 motherboard
