Hello,

I recently put together a PC and I am facing some issues. When I boot into Debian I get a kernel panic error, and when I attempt to boot into a fresh windows 11 installer, it immediately blue-screens, and gives varying stop codes such as "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" and "REFFERENCE_BY_POINTER". I presume this is a hardware issue so far I have attempted to troubleshoot the system by: changing the RAM, MOBO, PSU. I have also tested the usb stick which I keep my installers on and have gotten the cpu in the system tested on a test bench in a local computer shop.

The specs of my system are as follows, CPU: Ryzen 5 4500 GPU: EVGA GTX 770 PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 B2 RAM: 2x 8gb HyperX fury sticks @ 2111 mhz.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

RAM: 2x 8gb HyperX fury sticks @ 2111 mhz.
Got a link to the ram you're working with?

You forgot to mention the make and model of your motherboard. While you're looking, please check and see what BIOS version you're currently on.

Can you boot in Safe Mode for your Windows installation?

Did you reinstall the OS, if you migrated the OS drive from an older build?

The ram I have in the system can be found here. My motherboard is the ASUS PRIME B550-A. The bios version I am currently on is 3607. I don't think I can enter the installer in safe mode as when I select the live installer the windows loading icon shows up for about a second and the system immediately locks up and blue-screens. I did not migrate the OS drive from an older build. Thanks.
