PC only using half of committed memory.

Hey, my PC seems to only want to use 50% of the installed RAM. Task manager says 2 DIMMs are installed and 8gbs are available but it doesn't use more than 4gb. I tried setting maximum memory in advanced boot options to 8096mb and my PC just BSODs saying BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO, so i undid that. I tried running 1 stick at a time and both seem to work fine at full capacity.

Well where do you check the usage and when? I would expect this to be fine. If you had programs other than games and they were using all 8Gb then I would start to worry

Can you list your full system specs, as in motherboard model, ram model, etc?

What version of OS are you running? Windows 32Bit can only use 4GB, if you want to use more you need 64Bit windows

I was using task manager to monitor the memory and prime95 to get max usage.

How much ram does your BIOS say you have? How much ram does CPU-Z say you have?

BIOS says 8192Mb dual channel at 1333mhz and CPU Z says 8Gb dual channel at 660mhz

Hardware reserved says 27.3MB and the rest of the RAM is available for use.
I don't see any fault there.
