Hey guys,
I have a ryzen 1600 and a bazooka 350m, when i put the pc to sleep it overclocks itself from 3.2 to 4.5, without me enabling xmp, increased voltage or gameboost.

Kind of scared to flash bios because last time i did that had to replace motherboard.

anything i can do ?

thanks!

I use MSI Live Update all the time, and haven't had any problems with updating the bios. But if you're nervous about it, I would try to use a USB, as you have tried before. I...
Ryzen has a build in feature called XFR (eXtended Frequnecy Range), which essentially is a auto overclocking feature. It kicks in when you have thermal headroom. Perhaps that is what you're experiencing? In that case I wouldn't worry.

BTW, from all that I've heard it is a very good idea to update your BIOS, since the Ryzen platform is still young and new BIOS revisions can make big improvements.

Cool cool, last time i tried to flash it wouldnt recognise USB, so i did the msi live update which bricked my board, any suggestions on how to update bios?

Honestly I think you have had a bad mobo, since it couldn't update via MSI Live Update and it wouldn't recognize USB. I mean updating the bios is a very common task, that every motherboard should be able to do.
