Having a weird issue with my PC in the last few days.
PC Details are as follows
CPU : AMD FX 8350
M/B : ASROCK Fatality Killer 990FX
Memory : 12GB DDR3
GPU : ATI Radeon 290
The only hardware changes in the last week are the GPU, I used to run an Nvidia 680.
The problem I am having is this, when accessing the drive my PC pauses, for example if I am downloading a game on steam or uplay and the drive usage goes above say 5mb a second the pc starts to pause, if I try to watch a video when downloading etc it keeps pausing, heck even the mouse pointer pauses.
I have run HD Sentinal and it says my hard drives are fine and I never had this issue before putting in the new GPU.
I made sure and removed the nvidia software too.
Only thing I noticed is when it is happening if I open the resource monitor in Windows 10 it says CPU core 0 usage is 100% and I noticed something called system interrupts starts to use about 5% cpu, not noticed that before but then again never looked before.
Anyone got any ideas? I am pretty sure it's not a drive fault as it only happened after installing the ati gpu.
