Thinking i kind of fucked myself with what i bought. I feel like people who paid less experience better performance than I do with my build. I think i bought older more expensive prts... and my computer geius friends let me..

Gpu: msi gaming x 1060 6gb
Cpu: Amd Vishera 6300 6 core
Ram ddr3(forget name) 16gb
Ssd: samsung 850 evo 256gb
Mobo: 970a gaming pro msi
Fan: coolermaster hyper or somethingn like that

Yeah. Read a post that a guy spent 900 $ and gets 150 frames on battlefield on mostly high settings... i would probably get around 50 and i spent 1600 with opticals included.... if i was to upgrade to an i7 7700 4.2ghz. What kind of motherboard would I need as well.

My build also used to perform at 150-300 fps but mostly higher in that range on league and Csgo. Now im getting 140 constant on league and 80 on cago. Not sure what happened and power

saver is off and i overclocked the gpu.
Shouldnt my pc at least be running way better than it is?

HUGE EDIT: LOOKED AT MY ORDER HISTORY AND THE TOTAL IS 1300 WITH RAZOR STEREO HEADPHONES 130$ AND 150$ KEYBOARD. SO ALL IN ALL ABOUT 1100 WITH PARTS. NOT TO BAD.

Solution

I've upgraded it piece by piece so it's hard to say, but by the time my next piece goes in (i7-4790k, 16gb ram + and z97 mobo, just arrived today!) about £900 I guess? edit: no it's definitely less than that

I'm so so glad you knocked $500 off the build price...
You are likely experiencing a major bottleneck with the 6300 and a ttc 1060. You simply can't get the full power out of your GPU with a CPU that weak. Get an i5 6400 or 6500 with a compatible motherboard and ram and you will see double that performance. An I7 is not necessary for normal gaming it's nice but not needed

You spent $1600 on that build? Dude I'm so sorry

Your performance should be constant though. If you used to get 300fps on league yo ushould still get 300fps on league, if you don't then something is wrong. Try resetting your bios to defaults (remove the OC) and see if it helps, it could be that your motherboard is throttling, although that board should be fine with a 6 core fx

Everything is good except for the CPU, MOBO, and RAM. OP should be worried about it as he paid maybe twice as much as he should have for a system that can be bested by an i3.

Return it if you can, even with a restocking fee.

^harsh but true. Return if you can, the cpu mobo + ram are only worth like $150 used (and half of that is the ram)

If not, then a decent upgrade won't come cheap:

Hey thanks for the reply. Hows the rest of my build? im hoping to spend like 200 for a processor... Also is an i5 good enough for high performance games such as h1z1 and battlegrounds, and overwatch? thanks

Think that I could possibly sell them used or for parts/ get some money back? My friends even let me build this, and theyve build way better computers. Granted my monitor was 200, keyboard, 100, case 50, but ya i spent all in all around 1300 on parts. Partially because my gpu was 500 since like no one had them anywhere at the time, and i didnt want to wait like a month.

tbh i dont know why I thought it was 1600. and I spent 300 on the 1060. i looked at all the parts in my order history and it was 1085 all together and thats with the opticals. Oh plus the headphones so around 1200. thats not too shabby, now I just need a 250 i5 processor and 150 motherboard....

Dude if you want to play battlegrounds then we got to lose the fx processor, that game is badly optimised and runs very very bad on fx.

As prometheus said you could save a bit by buying a 4th gen i5 and motherboard as you could keep your ddr3 ram

its nice having knowledgeable people helping me here. What would be your suggestion for parts getting a good i5(I dont know if fourth gen is good or not) better mobo and ddr4 ram.? thanks

How much did your build cost?

An entry level 4th gen i5 + mobo:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($174.49 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($62.49 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $236.98

This would be a decent upgrade from the fx, with room to upgrade further if you wanted.

Reset BIOS: you need to press DEL at startup (sometimes F2) to get into the bios menu, then find the 'reset to default' option

Thanks alot man. What would you suggest getting past that suggested processor? I have a little more money to spend than that. However I wont be upgrading until around september lol. Im saving for a new car and thats a little more important since im off to college in the fall. If i wanted to get better ram as well so ddr4, what would you suggest? I really should have asked the internet or gotten a pre built gaming desktop then listen to my friends lol
And why did you get that old of a processor? arent the 6700's better? jw still very new to this lol
