Hey all,

I've been having issues with my PC lately, just has not been preforming super well. I used to get good frames on rust and other games with no drops not I'm getting drops on the same games.

Please see the benchmark test below

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get better performance?

Thanks in advance!

Userbenchmark doesn't tell us or you the make and model of your PSU nor it's age. Please add that in.

Are these the rams you're working with

?

You might want to try and use DDU, remove all GPU drivers(intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually reinstall with the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site in an elevated command.

These are the RAM

and a SMART 700W PSU

Bought the PC around 2020/21 when there were no GPUs so I bought a pre-built (BIG MISTAKE) especially as someone that always built their PCs previously

That is NOT a good PSU, as I am sure you know considering your past build experience. I would recommend replacing it ASAP irrelevant of the nature of the issue you have in this post.

To me it looks like overheating may be the issue here. How are your temps?

CPU definitely gets pretty hot. It used to get up to high 90s but after reapplying thermal paste temps went down a bit which helped but still get to around mid 80s low 90s while gaming.

curious what the bad PSU would affect. is the Wattage too low or the brand is just not good?

I would recommend getting your cooling under control. That chip should not be getting that hot while gaming. How hot is the GPU getting? This CPU cooler is cheap and as good as some 280mm/360mm AIOs and could be a good replacement for what you have assuming it fits in the case and with your RAM sticks. That PSU uses an older design that is just no that good for more modern parts. You risk the PSU faltering under the load of your parts and potentially doing damage to them when the PSU dies.

You might want to update the bios and also the chipset driver if it's old.

You have a lot of background stuff running which makes ubm kind of wonky.

Run ubm like this.
Reboot.
Wait a few mins.
Run ubm with the browser closed.
Post a link to the results.

Have you enabled XMP in bios?
