Question PC Posted yesterday- but now won't

Hello all,

I have had my PC for over 6 years now (albeit replaced PSU and GPU recently). It has always had random issues- but most recently, powers on fully without posting (no boot cycle lights on mobo) or any motherboard error lights. The weirdest part is that, while troubleshooting yesterday, I was able to get it to boot by reseating one of the RAM sticks while it was powered on (I know, I shouldn't have, idk why it worked). It stayed powered on until I shut it down, but I am once again unable to get it to boot, even after replicating yesterday's solution. I have tried flashing BIOS, booting with RAM in different channels, and power cycling with no luck. Also to add to the weirdness, the RGB feature in both my RAM sticks doesn't work (one just flashes white), though this isn't recent. To be honest, I don't remember most of the specs because it is so old, but I put what I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

RAM is corsair vengeance 2x8GB 3000mhz
Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus ga-a x370 k5
Gpu: Zotac 1700ti
Cpu: Ryzen 5 1500x (i think?)

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus ga-a x370 k5
What BIOS version are you on right now?

You might want to also see if you can replace the CMOS battery with a fresh cell. Try and source(borrow, not buy) another ram kit and see if that helps with posting. You should have rams in slots A2 and B2.

CMOS, as suggested, could be this newest issue, but in regard to the historic random issues, I have known Ryzens and supporting boards to be funny about RAM, and certain Corsair kits seem to give them a conniption fit.

I've had a 1700, a 3600X and a 5900X do very similar and most of it turned out to be RAM-related glitches. All three had RAM that was not listed on the board's QVL. Replaced with QVL listed kits and they now run perfectly.

Might want to check the Gigabyte board's QVL for DRAM with that processor.
