Question PC random restart

Hello there,

I recently upgraded to a fully functional desktop with new parts and everything and during FIFA 22 (and for now only FIFA 22) i am getting a sudden restart. The error i'm receiving is Event ID 56 with ACPI 2 and as far as i've read it's power related. How can this be when everything is new and with first owner?

Specs:
B660 Gaming X motherboard
Intel i5-12400F
Kingston Fury Beast 16GB DDR4
GeForce RTX 3060 12GB
PSU Flower Power Legion HX 80+

I am currently in the process of testing the memory and see if anything faults out but this is worrying me. I'd rather not have it fried after waiting several years to have my own desktop...

How old is the PSU in your build? What is the wattage of the unit in question?

When you say upgrade, what did you upgrade from? If you swapped out the motherboard, did you reinstall the OS after the upgrade?

Hi there,

I "upgraded" from a laptop, but i specified everything is new. Wattage on the PSU is 750W. It's new, never been used before and don't know the release date. Hope this helps for now.

And this might be a stupid question but should i have reinstalled windows after updating bios to latest version? 😕

This might mean it's the PSU, right? I also found on another forum that disabling intel C-States could be an option (waiting to see if this works) and also resetting the CMOS battery would also work. I really don't want to purchase another PSU to be honest, i barely wire-managed them...
