So I built a new computer downloaded some games like battlegrounds h1z1, when I play the games I can play for about 30-45 minutes and then my Pc reboots, monitor goes unresponsive and my fans go turbo. Sometimes I can play for longer periods of times but when I ult + tab or close the game my Pc reboots and fans go turbo. Please help.

BTW all Temps stay between 30-50 degrees Celsius

Pc specs -
cpu - ryzen 5 1500x
Gpu- zotac gtx 1060 6gb mini
ram - team elite plus 8gb ddr4 2400mhz
MOBO - asrock ab350m pro (UEFI IS AT UPDATE 3.00)
Hardrive - WD blue 1tb
Psu - 500w evga

Solution
Yup but if your last install didn't have the boot device set to AHCI do so. AHCI is a better performance setting for the boot drive. See the boot option 2 in the image.

I used furmark and my computer ran it perfectly with an average of 74 fps and max GPU temperature of 63 degrees celcius.

So what seems to be the problem?

This is how we remove parts from the list of probable causes. Its unlike your video card or PSU is the problem. Next test your CPU and memory using Prime95 and memtest64. Pick the version of prime by your OS and run a small CPU test for about 10 minutes. Then use memtest to scan your RAM for issues. If you have either overclocked this could be the problem. This or your motherboard may need a bios update to versio 2.50.

used memtest86 for over 10 hours and the memory does not seem to be the problem, prime95 ran fine and it did not crash. both the memory and cpu seem fine. Im very confused as I have no overclocking done either. can it be drivers or something because i do not remember downloading any drivers except for the nvidia drivers and audio drivers.

used driver booster to update all drivers, problem still occurs. in my bios it shows everything running at correct speeds.

Ok guess we need to start looking at hardware. Test your system using furmark benchmark test. If you PC crashes on this its your GPU or PSU. Then use prime95 version 26.6 small cpu for 10 minutes to test your CPU. If crashes on this your CPU may need more voltage your its overheating. Last test using memtest64 to make sure your RAM is all good. Use HWmonitor to record all temps and post a pic.

Used furmark for 10 minutes and it did not crash Temps are in the link below

Prime95 test ran smoothly for 10 minutes temps and voltages for CPU are linked below

Going to use memtest now how long should I run memtest for?

Wow 1.5v and 76.6c that is getting a bit high with version 26.6. Reviewers are only getting 68c for max temp on the 1500X. Neither are near max temp but bit higher than average for temp. The voltage tho has me worried. Maybe you should try overclocking manually and set the voltage to 1.35v. Also make sure you have the latest bios verison 3.0.

Only last test you should run is using data lifeguard to test your HD's smart, generic, and self test. For data lifeguard that is the long test.

before I do any of the manual changes, my motherboard had the cpu voltage at 1.23750 so how did the HwInfo show 1.5 as the max voltage?
and is 1.23750v too low for the cpu being at 3.5mhz ?

Auto changes it when your CPU boosts XFR. Manual on the other hand tends to lets you set the voltage to the lowest needed to hit the highest clock. See AMD has to set the voltage to cover their worst silicon. Manual you can get it much lower in most all cases.

ok so I changed the cpu voltage so its 1.35 now and the problem still occurs. The only thing left is to update the bios to 3.00 and check the ram with memtest.

Is it normal for my computer to freeze when running memtest86 during the first few seconds? it got me scared so i stopped the test

Not normal but doesnt mean the RAM is the cause. If you have 2 sticks of RAM remove one and test. The swap it out for the other and test again. Next test your PSU by using another if you can get one 450w or higher. Test with a quality PSU if possible.

I actually just returned my psu for the same one and that did not fix the problem and I only have one stick of ram to test. How long (minutes/hours) should I test the Ram for?

Can the reason Im crashing be because I have some random ram and only one stick because I have not came across anybody that has used 1 stick of ram with the ryzen

Hey I set my cpu voltage to 1.35 and it is saved in my bios, yet hwmonitor and hwinfo show it going up to 1.4 and higher?

I do not have ryzen power plan do I just download it online.

downloaded ryzen power plan its in use and the voltages are still jumping over and the core speed is jumping from3592 mhz to 3892 mhz in cpu z.
