PC reboots when gaming

So my PSU recently died after a good 2 or so years of use (evga 500w) and randomly turned off the pc one day. So I decided to replace it with a corsair 450w and hook it all up. Then the problems began, it seems that I cannot play any unreal engine based game (fortnite or borderlands) without the pc Black screening and rebooting itself. Initially I thought it would be a temperature issue, I monitored my temps before launching the games and they were normal. Cpu at about 50 and gpu around 40. Tried load testing to confirm that it wasn't an overheat issue, everything was fine. I have tried reinstalling my nvidia drivers as I thought they were the probkem, still I get the reboots on launching the games. I'm now stumped and cannot decide whether my psu is not supplying enough power to the system or if my ram is bad or if its something else unrelated. I really am lost. Here are my specs:
Intel core i5-4760
Nvidia geforce gtx 760
2x 4gb corsair vengeance
450w corsair VS series
MSi z97 sli plus mobo

I am so confused as to why the reboots only occur on these games. I also just tried a Windows memory diagnostic test with no luck as I blackscreened on restart.

Solution
The VS series isn't that great so may be your problem here. It has enough power though,so a good quality 450watt should do fine.

I guess that you could make sure all devices are seated well,so reseat ram and gpu. Also check connections on the psu, reconnect those too.

Thanks for your response Vic 40, I have already reseated all my components to try and solve this but have had no success. However a new problem has arisen, previously it would reboot when launching games, it is now however completely random. It can reboot even before getting onto the Windows desktop at times. Would this still be a PSU issue? Also do you think RAM could cause this problem?

Thankyou for your fast response. Is it possible that some of the other components could have been damaged after the first PSU died? Hence the reason for the restarts? Just trying to get a final verdict before I spend money on a new PSU.

You have to keep in mind that this PSU is not 450W on all outputs. It's distributed.
I think this PSU might be overloading, which causes it to shut down your computer.
At once the computer gets power again, it restarts, kind of a safety feature.

Thank you so much for all your help, I will let you know if the problem is solved once I install it. You've been great (chosen as best answer) :)
