Question Pc reboots when i play certain games?

Ok so i have built my first pc ib about 10 years. its a 1713700kf with a rtx 3090 asus white strix with an asrock mobo a lian li sf850 psu and a solidgm 2tbb ssd with 32 gb of ram. in only certain games my pc will totally shut off and restart itself. my pc temps are fine according to nzxt cam i have ran msi kombuster and prime 95 and everything is fine there is there anything i may be missing? on the asus website it says an 850 watt psyu and the lioan li psu is gold rated 850 watts?

3090 is a beefy card, even 850W might not be enough with the rest of your hardware.

Am I correct in assuming that is a small form factor PSU? Lian Li SP850? In which case it may have smaller capacitors than the typical desktop PSU and less able to handle power draw spikes from such a GPU.

I would start there. You might have to just power limit the GPU to something more reasonable to avoid restarts.

I suspect it is not up to the task of powering your 3090. Do you actually require a SFX PSU?

Yes that is my psu. It’s upsetting because Lian li claims this can run the new 4090 and yes I do need a sfx power supply also a white powersupply.
