PC restart problem, Bad PSU?

My PC tends to restart when i try to play any game. sometimes it happens mid game and sometimes right at launch. Sometimes though it restarts even while watching youtube. it happens 2-3 times a day, and is very frustrating(espacianly during comp matches in csgo). I think its my PSU.
When the PSU that i currently have is a Corsair vs 550. and here's my full specs
CPU: i5 4440
RAM: Corsair vegeance 2 x 4gb
MOBO: Asrock h97 Pro 4
GPU: Sapphire AMD Radeon r9 270x 2gb OC (Going to upgrade to rx 480 the next month)
3 HDDs and 1 SSD
1 Optical drive

I have found a Corsair GS600, going for cheap, should i get it? and what are the other Budget options?

I'd stay away from Corsair unless you get the RMx, AX, or other high end models.

Take a look at XFX, EVGA and Seasonic, I recommend Seasonic.

The Seasonic S12II 620W is a good power supply with a Tier - 2 rating. I own the Seasonic S12II 520W PSU and its been working fine for over a year, I did have one PSU Shut Down, never could duplicate the issue so I assume it was an input power problem and so the PSU did its job and protected my computer.

If you want a modular PSU get the M12II from Seasonic, it cost a little more money, but maybe worth it to some people.

So was the issue solved by just getting a new PSU?

I can't say in XiPH3R's case but I've had computers fail like that where they would start and then reboot and cycle. Replacing the power supply should resolve the problem unless the power supply failure damaged other parts of the PC.
