pc restarting (bought it yesterday) worked fine n today its restarting randomly

repeated pc restarts . my processor is 8350 (amd 8 core processor). motherboard asus M5A97 LE R2.0(9 series chipset). 8gb ram corsair . till yesterday night it worked fine. i bought it day before yesterday night . from past 3 hours it restarts randomly . what might be the problem ??

what is your psu?and is your motherboard updated to the latest bios version?

If the system been moved. Power it down and check that the ram and cards are seated. Also check that the CPU cooler on tight and the fan is working.
See if it a virus or hardware issue if you can boot into the mb bios and sit at the temp screen see if the temp is going to high before the pc shuts off. If it sit there fine try booting from a anti virus rescue cd. Avast and avg have free ones. Boot from the cd and scan your system. The last part could be a bad ups or power strip or outlet. Try the pc on another outlet to ,akesure it not the outlet or if there an ac or frig on the same fuse and your having power spikes.

input voltage :230v , input range 180-264 vac , fan type 120 mm, power supply active PFC (>0.9) , high dual+12v output. 500W .is this what u asked for ?? if iam wrong then iam sorry if u can explain me what u asked for i will provide u with necessary details .

Sounds like a heat issue. The most likely cause out of what smorizio said is the CPU cooler fan not working. You can get a program like CPUZ or easytune to check processor temps. Report back on what you find.

system isnt moved after getting it to my house , and it worked fine for almost 16 hours and then today morning this issue started and scanned for viruses but nothing found and i tried connecting normally without ups n it has same problem, now its been 30 mins since it restarted , and no AC der is a fridge but nothing happened to my previous PC .

No worries. I would monitor those temps to see what the temps are at when the PC restarts. So when you open your PC do you actually see all the fans on the PSU, CPU heatsink running?

yeah my system has 2 fan n they are working fine when it restarts . sometimes display wont show wen it restarts. last time when it restarted it dint show display but monitor power supply light (orange ) shows . so i thot i would wait for it to show display and display started after waiting 5 mins . same like how it will get started when we switch on the cpu it went the same

yeah i have installed and changed my resolution too . and fan speeds :

fan 1: 5533 RPM temp 1 :42 C
fan 2: 1223 RPM temp 2 :42 C
HD 0: 44C
GPU : 41C

iam seein the speeds n sometimes the temperature is goin to 43C and GPU goin to 42C then instead of green tick mark its showing red tick for few seconds and then automaticaly temperature decreasing in 3 seconds or so and back to green tick mark again

OK well like I said monitor your temps. Id also go along smo said and reseat your RAM.

Also download hardware monitor and watch your power supply output. If one of the legs is bad and the voltage drops below the atx spec the system will shut off.

okay i will do it and get back to you . as its new system iam bit tensed so i will ask one of my frnd's to come over and do it for me . and do you even want me to reseat my graphic card . and iam facing one more problem related to this graphic card . in my DXDIAG its shows my graphics total memory to be 698 MB. but in my advanced settings and in that change display settings it shows total available graphic memory 4815 MB and dedicated 1024MB and shared system memory 3791 MB. even in speccy software it shows my graphics as radeon 7000 series 1024 MB. but why is it showing 698 MB in dxdiag ??

downloaded hardware monitor . where to see power supply output in it ? i can see voltages n temperatures in it . not finding any option of power supply output

It The lines with the voltages ie 3.3 the 5v lines and the 12v lines.

as u said i have removed n reconnected all the internal parts on my mother board . gfx card n ram everything. still it shows my graphic card total memory is 698 MB in dxdiag. and in my advanced video settings it says total memory 4815mb and dedicated video memory 1024mb.shared system memory 3791mb
