Hello again!

Long story short: I bought a new CPU and Mobo, spent days to make it work, still have issues (just my luck).

The problem is, as described in the title, my PC restarts when installing programs. Basically when the setup finishes, my PC freez out and (automatically or manually) restart, and the program won't work. Also it's restarting sometimes randomly.
Is it possible that this is an OS compatible problem?
I've installed a Windows 8 Pro OS. I've also checked my Mobo (ASRock Z77 Pro3) printed and online manual. The printed one didn't mention if it's Win 8 compatible, but the official site says it is. I've already reseted the Mobos' BIOS several times (maybe I have to update it?). Or am I on a completly wrong track? Maybe it's an other system problem, or it is a hardware/driver problem? Please, help me out!

Many thanks!

Config:
- ASRock Z77 Pro3 Mobo
- Intel Core i5-3570 CPU
- Gigabyte HD7770 Rev.2 GPU
- Hitachi 500GB Hard Drive
- Cooler Master Hyper 103 CPU Cooler
- Cooler Master 500W PSU
- Samsung 4GB DDR3 RAM

That sounds like a good idea. Tell me what it reports.

Yeah, I've already checked these options, but as I said, the machine will restart after every installation, dumping the whole process, but maybe I could try it in Safe Mode. Also, I've found this:

1.60 9/21/2012 Instant Flash 4.39MB 1. Support Windows 8.
2. Support writes OA 3.0 key.
Note: "Ultra Fast" is only supported by below conditions.
1. OS Windows 8 is installed on GPT format.
2. Graphics supports UEFI GOP.

Could this be the key for it?

I wouldn't think it would Be. I would download the BIOS (Instant flash) put it in the root of c: and then enter instant flash in the BIOS and flash it from there (not from windows or dos)

** EDIT **
Actually that looks to be the minimum update but as always install the latest one available (7/23/2013)

I'll give it a try. About the root folder, I just simple drag 'n' drop the file to the Windows folder or do I have to put it somewhere else? (I've never did this yet.)

"root folder" would be on the drive not in any folders (E.G. C:\ making the file C:\biosupdate.rom)

Try without the GPU.
Also try Windows memory diagnostic (start -> type memory -> enter -> restart now)

welp, it definitely did something. memory diagnostic didn't notice any problems with the RAM. took out GPU, tried to install something, still the same issue. but this time it mentioned SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION as the case of the reboot (also this time it did automatically).

Try a full reformat and install of windows might get us some-ware. Also where did you get the disk and is the disk scratched?

*UPDATE*

I've re-installed the system, but still have the issue. At first I tought my downloads simply weren't compatible with my OS, but that's not the case. I noticed that every time I download something and try to install it, my PC throws me out with a BSOD after the installation finished, usually with the SYSTEM_CHECK_EXCEPTION or with the MACHINE_CHECK_EXCPETION error. Not only this, but when I try to go on the internet with the E.I. on the Desktop screen, it's the same outcome. I can use the internet only by htting the Home Page button on my keyboard. I've also tried to perform an "sfc/ scannow" and clean boot, none of them solved it.

Try disabling processor features such as NX Bit / execute protection etc..

I've already tried Win 7, it was even worse with it, at least now I can use my PC for websearching. My friend, however, suggested to use Hiren's Boot for seeking occurrent problems both in my softwares and/or hardwares. I'm going to give it a shot.

If you have nothing on the hdd running DBAN and wiping the drive will test if the drive is damaged.
Memtest86+ would also be worth running for 2 passes.

I also tought about running the Memtest, but I was unable to due to the programs wouldn't install. But now, I installed Ubuntu 14.04 (works for now) and I'll give it a try. Also take advantage of the Ubuntus' system check.

Okay, I think i can finally close this thread. As I tought, my motherboard was the problem, more precisely it's CPU socket. I gave it back for a service and it turned out the socket pins were bent worse than I tought. Hopefully I'll get it back at the next week. Thank you for all your support ganon11000!
