Please keep it to 1 thread.
Today I got a RTX 4060 and new PSU, xpg pylon 550w. And sometimes, especially when i try to launch mirrors edge catalyst, which worked perfectly on my old gpu, the PC just restarts every time. I used DDU but it didnt help. In event viewer its kernel power error but no real details. With different game it happened when I launched it in DirectX 11 mode, maybe that's the issue?

I have a problem where my PC reboots randomly when playing games after changing the GPU to an RTX 4060 and the PSU to XPG Pylon. I get kernel power 41 error, nothing else. I tried OCCT and the PC reboots immediately after running CPU test, GPU test works fine. So that indicates a faulty PSU, am I right?

Mobo: ASRock H81M
CPU: i7-4770k
GPU RTX 4060
RAM: 16GB
PSU: XPG Pylon

I got a rtx 4060 and new psu - xpg pylon 550w and since then the PC restarts with kernel power 41 error when I run occt CPU stress test. I thought it's the PSU but I got it replaced and nothing changed. What's wrong? Please help.

To what PSU did you get it replaced to?

I wouldn't recommend a 550W PSU from that brand (I've not heard of) for that GPU. Crashes are expected with stress tests, if you use that PSU.

A 550W PSU isn't recommended for that PSU with a high power demand. Crashes are expected with stress tests, if you use that PSU.
I just rma'd it so I got the same one. The PC restarts also when playing GTA 5

Seems like its purely a power issue. Since both PSUs had the issue, unless any component is overheating or anything, I'd suspect the PSU. I've not heard from that PSU brand before, nor could i find any reviews saying its bad either.

There's a review on Tom's hardware and it got 3.5/5 also it's on tier c on psu tier list. But do you think it's just too weak or I somehow got 2 faulty units in a row?

Unlikely that you got 2 faulty ones.

What are your system temps like while it crashes/restarts? (CPU & GPU)

Pretty much, especially since your PSU is low quality unit.

For new PSU, get good quality unit, like: Seasonic Focus/Vertex/PRIME or Corsair RMx/RMi/HXi/AXi. 550W unit will do, but 650W unit won't hurt either.
I rma'd the psu and got a new one and the issue is still there, I also tried my old Corsair PSU which is also 550w and it happens too. Do you think the cpu is done or I need more powerful psu or something else?

So, you sent in your low quality XPG Pylon and got another low quality XPG Pylon back? If so, then nothing has changed in terms of PSU.

I also tried my old Corsair PSU which is also 550w and it happens too.
Which model and how old? Since depending on that, Corsair unit can be equal or even worse than your XPG unit.

Do you think the cpu is done or I need more powerful psu or something else?
Not more powerful (higher wattage) but far better build quality for sure.

Random reboots or shutdowns are mostly caused by 2 issues:
1. CPU/GPU overheats and to prevent any damage, system shuts down.
2. PSU fails to deliver enough power to the GPU or fails to keep smooth enough voltage for PC's operation.

First check your CPU/GPU temps, both at idle and under load. If temps are within reason then it's safe to assume that it's the PSU who is acting up.
And since you haven't disclosed to us what Corsair unit you have and how old it is, PSU issue can not be ruled out.

PSU protection kicking in would cause shutdown not restart.

It's most likely a BSOD.
Disable auto restart on system failure and read info from BSOD.

Corsair VS 550W (CP-9020050-EU)
I just ordered xpg core reactor 750w which is tier A so if it won't fix it then it has to be something else
The temps moment before reboot are 60 degrees Celsius CPU and 34 degrees GPU. the cpu is at 80W. And the reboot happens with GPU unplugged too.

If there is issue (fault) with PSU, it will cause restart as well.

Corsair VS 550W (CP-9020050-EU)
That's even worse of a PSU than your XPG Pylon was. CP-9020050-EU has orange label on it and is crap quality PSU. Worst PSU ever made by Corsair and shouldn't be made in the 1st place, let alone sold to the public.

That's a good PSU. Most likely would fix your issue as well.
