I had bought a new assembled PC a year back: (i7 4790k), 8 gb hyperx ram, 1 TB WD Hard disk. The cabinet was very budgeted and power unit was 400w which came along with the cabinet. So my PC was working very well and very fast. The startup time to the desktop screen used to take mere 10-15 seconds. Now, I purchased a second hand graphics card (nvidia zotac gtx 760) and smps (cooler master 600w) from my best friend, and these two components were working absolutely fine in his pc. When i tried to assemble these two components into my pc, replacing old smps and adding graphics card. After plugging all the components when i turned on the switch, the pc didn't start. I rechecked it quite a few time and then i realized that i had mistakenly plugged a switch in FAN 1 port.
When I unplugged the wire from that port and switched pc again, it worked and pc got start. But then It had some issue with my windows, which is windows 8. The error was: Your PC Ran into a problem and needs to restart (BLUE SCREEN ERROR). I tried hard to repair that windows but it didn't worked. I completely formatted the Hard disk and installed a new window 10 with new partitions. Now windows 10 was working fine the 1st time i worked on it, but after a restart the pc was extremely slow, windows login page was taking around 5-6 minutes to load.
Now disappointed with this, I replaced my hard drive with an 3-4 year old working 240 GB seagate hd and in that also i installed a new windows 7 32 bits but this time it was the pc retailer mechanic who installed this windows and said that there is no issue with your pc and that it is working fine. Now the same problem have occur. It is taking 2-3 minutes in the login windows screen to reach the desktop screen from the welcome screen. So my question is, have i damaged any hardware device during my reassembling of hardware? By the way i didn't touch Processor at all. I have no extra application which possibly slow the startup. My pc is completely clean. One more thing, I tested graphics card by installing one nfs run game and it worked fine. But the pc performance as far as opening a ms word document or opening a browser like activities are concerned, the slow performance is clearly visible. around 50% performance as compared to earlier. Please give a reply and suggest what is wrong with my pc. Any Hardware?

Try reinstalling your ram sticks or try unplugging the gpu and fan and see if it's working fast as before, if it did ,it should be something wrong with your gpu.

Did you check if your parts are compatible with your second hand gpu?
