Hi everyone,

Recently I've been experiencing this problem: I push the "On" button, everything seems to run normally (light's up, cpu and vga fans spin...) but the signal light of my monitor keeps blinking, which indicates no signal, and the screen is black of course. At this point, I can't do anything but push the "reset" button on the case, and this phenomenon disappear. I have tried checking the cables (both on vga and monitor), cleaning RAM, etc but I couldn't detect what is wrong. This happened even when I resumed my system from sleep mode.
My system: Main B75M- HD3, vga Giga GTX 960 4Gb, psu Seasonic S12II.
I know there are some posts out there about my problem, but none of them seems to have clear solution. So please help me out.
Thanks

I know what you are going honestly. Had the same issues. CMOS is a common fox for this issue though. We can only run through a trial and error process :) if you confirm it isn't that we will think of something else :)

Honestly I dont know, since my keyboard don't have the indicator lights. But there seems no respond to keyboard.

I tried it, no result. But I think the problem might be with mb, since i had the same problem with the old 750ti, though not so usual.

Hi,

I had this issue in the past and I tried so many things to fix it but I really cannot remember what fixed it for me.

Here are some of the things I've tried

Re-installed Windows
Changed monitor
Tried different port and cables
Different version of Windows
Teaking bios settings

I also had a friend who had this issue and did the exact same on his but couldn't fix the issue. I will scan through my previous threads to see the advice I was goven

Thanks Kavster,

Could you explain more about Tweaking bios settings? What exactly should I do?
Few moths ago I upgraded to windows 10 from 7. Problem appears in both versions.
I also changed cables to brand new ones.

I really can't remember 🙁 did you try the CMOS battery. I know that was suggested to me as a common fix and was a temporary fix for a friend of mine.

I will try and find all the tickets I've raised when I get home but that won't be for a few hours but I remember CMOS was a common issue as it holds all the bios settings and I think that may what I meant by 'tweaking' it

removing the battery will reset the BIOS to the default settings, if your pc needed special settings (low voltage memory, higher than spec'd clock speeds), those settings will need to be reset.
the battery is on the motherboard is a lithium CR2032 battery, looks like a silver garment button, remove that (for I go for 2 minutes with the power supply unplugged from the outlet). install battery after the time and plug in the computer and try to boot.

^^^ further to that. Make sure the power is disconnected when removing the cmos. Also once the power is disconnected hold the power button for 30 seconds. This will drain the capacitors of any remaining charge they have left. But make sure the power is disconnected first :)

Really appreciate it. I'll try it in free time, and let you know the result 😀

Thanks R_1
I know that it would reset mb, but i still consider it as last resort, since I've looked up problems with drained cmos, and it doesn't match with mine. I would try others first

And 1 more thing: This problem seems quite radom. It would happen 3 times in a row, but then seems to fix itself for a period of time until it happen again and really piss me off.
Since this problem start, I haven't experienced any malfunction with the system: Windows boot well, no error detected, no blue screen or such.. By now, it is just a pain in the *ss everytime I wait for it to display or have to reset.
