I've been afflicted with a strange problem where my PC would hard shut down randomly at any point in time after I start my PC, sometimes even 2-3 seconds into the boot screen. Upon initial inspection I found that I'd been using the all in one F_PANEL connector on my motherboard whereas it was meant for Intel motherboards, I have AMD motherboard and I was supposed to use the breakout cable provided in the accessory box (NZXT H510 Flow). So I changed the power sw connector with the breakout cable and figured I'd solved the problem, until it happened again, this time after 48+ hours. The same problem where my PC shuts down and my power button doesn't respond initially, but eventually responds for some reason and PC boots, only to shut down again in 2 seconds. Also my PC randomly booted itself when I had my PC powered on, I saw this happening only once.
To confirm that this is indeed a power sw connector/power button problem I used my spare case's power sw connector and pushed its button, PC boots but shuts down again. I also tried to turn on the system by shorting the two pins where the powersw is supposed to go in, pc didn't boot. Now I'm afraid if it's a problem with my motherboard since I'm well out of warranty, might also be a PSU problem.
To sum up the things I've tried already:
1. Trying a different case
2. Reseating RAMs
3. Using breakout cable for my AMD motherboard which I previously did not use, problem persists.
4. Shorting the pins.
My Configuration:
Windows 11
Ryzen 5 5600
Ripjaws V 8+8GB
ROG 2080 Ti
Corsair RM 750x
Case: NZXT H510 Flow
Also to mention, I use cable extensions for the 24 pin connector and 2 for PCIE.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated ! !
