My pc is acting weird lately

I've recently upgraded my GPU to sapphire r9 280x Vapor X

When im playing for like 2-5 hours, my pc is shutting down without any warning, after 1-2 seconds it will start again. AND after 1-2 seconds after starting up it shuts down again and so on.

It will only stop if i rest my pc for about 2-5 minutes

When im playing games my GPU and CPU temps around 65-70 degrees

The air coming from the exhaust fan is humid

all of the fans are spinning, no dust on the heatsink. however i didnt use any thermal paste on the stock intel heatsink

is it a faulty PSU? or a temp problem? Ive also experienced the same problem last summer. But back then i still have a crappy GPU which GT 220.

- Intel i3 3210 3.2ghz
- seasonic s12ii 520w
- 2x 4gb RAM 1600mhz
- asrock h61m-vs r2.0
- 160gb HDD SATA
- WIndows 7 64bit
- 4x 120mm fans
- Sapphire r9 280x Vapor X

What do you mean you did not use thermal paste? Did you remove the stock paste that comes on it from the factory?

Next question, what is your CPU temp during this time?

My first thought is that you are pulling too much energy at one time and your PSU shuts off. You may be able to look at windows diagnostic codes to determine what happened. I am not an expert in that, but maybe someone else can help

- 5 mins ago i was playing and my cpu temp is 68, now the PC did not shut down rather freeze with a grey blurred screen

- after moving my parts from an old chasis to my new chasis. i cleaned the stock fan and removed the thermal paste. i put it back without any new thermal paste

This is a HUGE problem. You need thermal paste. You should not even be booting your PC for long periods of time while having no thermal paste let alone running games.

so thers a big chance its a power problem right?

Theirs a big chance it's because you have no thermal paste on your cpu heatsink.

btw the shutting down was completely gone when ive replaced my CPU cooler with an ID cooling IS50.

So do i have a faulty or its already on the edge of giving up ( CPU ) ?
