PC skipping and freezing, cpu temp jumps 5-10 degrees when it happens, how do i fix this problem

Hi so about 2 weeks ago my pc randomly started freezing at times and skipping for a solid 3-5 seconds. It can be very annoying while playing games as it has cause me to die a ton of times. I decided to monitor my CPU temps while playing or being idle and waiting for the skips. Just as guessed everytime my pc skips my CPU temp jumps about 7-10 or more degrees in those 3-5 seconds the skipping occures. I just got a new CPU cooler and the temps arent overheating at all just jumping up when the skipping happens and I dont know what to do at all. If anyone can help that would be great!

Whats your system? Specs of cpu, gpu
Skipping, do you mean screen pause and jump to a few moment later?

CPU is an Intel 15 8600k and GPU is a GTX 1050ti. And yes my screen pauses and jumps to a few moments later

If nothing is overheating.
Can you check the clocks durinv ingame?
Either cpu or gpu should be maxed out or have very low clock.

neither the CPU or GPU is maxed out while playing. When the skip happens my temp surges up about 5-10 degrees though. The temp is not at an overheating temp but it has a huge spike in temp when the skip occurs
