[SOLVED] PC slow at opening stuff

So on my computer whenever I click something for example the windows button at the bottom left it takes like 10-20 seconds for it to appear sometimes like multiple minutes and that's the same for everything. Clicking any setting, clicking the arrow at the bottom right opening chrome. I also have a concern that it could be my power supply because it is from IBUYPOWER and it never stated the efficiency rating just the watts. Power supply could be bad and everything just seems extra slow in general like on games frames are way lower than should be on minecraft all settings low I still have stutters every 2 seconds. Any solutions or ideas?

SPECS:
AMD 5600x
ROG B550-F
800W PSU Unknown rating
1660 SUPER
16GB 3000mhz RAM

are you using the Samsung NVME driver? I doubt its cause but maybe - https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/tools/

could download Magician as well, not sure if it works for the Pro though. Its on same link as above

that nvme drive shouldn't be slow to respond.
I doubt checking hdd is needed but - https://www.seagate.com/au/en/support/downloads/seatools/seatools-win-master/

it shouldn't be search index but worth a try - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/58569-rebuild-search-index-windows-10-a.html

what storage do you have? if its slow to load things it could be your ssd/hdd we need to look at.

Ibuypower standard PSU? looks like it could be Bronze. People on the Ibuypower forums tells users not to use their standard PSU

You don't need 800 for that PC and I don't know if that PSU could push it anyway.

I would get a Corsair or Seasonic unit, probably 650watt be enough.

but we check its not storage first.

Hey sorry for the late response but my storage is a brand new 250gb 980 pro and a 2tb 7200rpm i would assume seagate barracuda but not entirely sure.

I'm checking HDD now and if it isn't what you said then I should get a new PSU? I've got one in mind... This good? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RF237B1?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1 or would a 650W be a better option in terms of price.

I think RM PSU are pretty good, better than a unknown Ibuypower psu anyway

I don't worry about price with a PSU unless it looks too cheap. Mine is probably more expensive than that one . Better pay more for quality. PSU last part of system you go cheap on. Or should be.

750 gives you more wiggle room. PSU won't be running max all the time so more efficient and cooler.
