Hey so i have this 2gb of RAM installed, and 500MB of it is dedicated to VGA, bcos i have intergrate4d graphics. My prob is, when i buy a dedicated GPU (planning on a gtx 750ti), will i see an increase in the speed of my comp? i mean, ill make the VRAM from my RaM go 0, which would mean i have like 1.9gigs of RAM left, but will i see a perfomance boost in my PC? its laggy as hell!!!!!!

Solution
Well, the one upgrade is good, 4gb RAM is a good start. If that doesn't help solve things the only other upgrade which I would recommend is a SSD boot drive. The Core i3 is a decent enough chip and usually has enough oomph for most tasks and light gaming (with an appropriate discrete GPU cause the Intel IGP is pretty sorry).
Most likely, it'll still be laggy. Part of the reason isn't because of graphics, it's because of Windows swapping the virtual memory (on disk) with the RAM as it's designed to do. 2gb on a modern computer -generally- isn't enough to run very smoothly, 4gb is a minimum these days for a basic desktop.

Some of it also depends on the computer in question. More details on the actual computer specs would help.

Core i3-2100 @3.1ghz
2GB DDR3 RAM (planned upgrade to 4 :) )
Foxconn h61MX mobo]]and thatzs about it..
