Question PC starts lagging after a hour or so of use.

About a month ago my computer did a windows update, ever since then after about an hour of use my computer will lag. It will be fine for about 5 mins then for example typing this message my keyboard input would take a few seconds to enter in. Videos will also lag, stutter. I have been monitoring temperatures cpu has hit a max of 46 c.

Any thoughts on why my computer might be lagging randomly?

Im using a AMD Ryzen 5 1600x
Asus gtx 1070
16gb of RAM

What's happening with your mem, HD/SSD?

You have 16gb, so you shouldn't be maxing out your ram, but those issues you have would normally be an indicator of that.

What about your HD/SSD, is it maxed out 100% usage or anything?

SSD is not showing any signs of crashing. It doesn't do that shoots to 100% . Memory is the same way. Does not show any signs of struggle. Should I try taking a ram stick out or something? Could one be going bad?

If you think you might have a RAM problem, run the memory diagnostics. You can find them under Start -> Windows Administrative Tools.

Ran a diagnostics and came back clear.

I use the corsair software and am wondering if that is causing an issue. Has anyone heard of their software causing any kind of performance issues?

I went ahead and re-installed windows. So now I have a fresh install on this PC. After about an hour of use it still goes back to fps drops. For example when im in a league of legends match my frames will drop from 200 to 33 for a second. Then go back up. I ran AIDA64 stress test my CPU gets to about 53 max temp.
