(MY PC IS AROUND 6-7 MONTHS OLD) so i added a msi gtx 970 to my pc a week ago and have been getting pc restarts whilst gaming and sometimes loading up a game. i have a i5-4690k, msi z97 gaming 3 mobo, corsair VS550 psu, 1x 8GB Hyper X Fury Black RAM, 1TB HDD.
Since adding the gpu my pc will randomly restart on games. I have tried updating to the newest drivers and also rerolling back and still restarts. My gpu and cpu fans are running and the temps when i tested where average. I downloaded MSI Afterburner app to check my temps and the gpu is using 9% power just using google chrome, and 40 degrees Celsius idle and my cpu is at ~30 degrees Celsius.
The only critical error showing in the event viewer is (kernel power windows 10)
I have read online that the Corsair VS550 is not the best psu for gaming. I dont want this to be down to the fact of a faulty gpu as i have had it a week (got it for xmas) and its annoying to send parcels back. If anyone knows of any fixes or issues, please help me

Solution
The CX750 is not a good quality PSU. sure it works for people but that does not make it quality. Do not buy it.

That antec is a very good unit. Get that!

would this still be the case as the psu is only early 7 months old, is the VS550 a bad one for a gtx 970
This issue as only come about since adding my new gpu

so since adding the gpu its adding stress to the psu even tho on pc part picker there was no compat issues. hmmm

is Corsair CX750 a good psu for a gtx 970?

my friend runs his gigabyte gpu on a cx750 with no issues but im not sure.

should i go for a Antec True Power 650W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply Unit
