Question PC Stuck in Infinite Repair Loop

Hello everyone,

I apologize for my English, as it is not my first language!

I have been experiencing this problem for some time, and I thought I would eventually solve it, but I have not. I was working on a project on my PC when, suddenly, it shut down and began to restart. However, it entered an infinite loop of preparing for automatic repair. I waited for it to access the troubleshooting menu, but it never did.

I tried everything I found on the internet, including:
Changing the RAM
Reapplying thermal paste
Replacing the SSD, as I thought that might be corrupted

However, when I tried to install Windows on the new SSD, I encountered a blue screen, then a black screen, and the PC just restarted the process. This cycle of blue screen, black screen, and restarting continued.

When I access the BIOS, it shows everything correctly.

I really don't know what the issue is or what to do next. Has anyone ever encountered something like this or has any idea of what might have caused it?

PC Specs:
Motherboard: 450 Aorus Elite
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060
RAM: ADATA XPG Gammix D10 16GB
SSD: 256GB Gigabyte for Windows
Hard Disk: 1TB
Power Supply: Seasonic S12III 550W 80+ Bronze

Thank you!

You windows installation went bad. Try to repair or use your backup disks to reinstall the OS. You do make backups I hope? Rule #1 is backup the backups. If not, fresh windows installation and all software that you need from the old drive.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Is this;

the motherboard you're working with? If so, what BIOS version are you on?

How old is the PSU? That unit isn't exactly something that's reliably built even though it's got a Seasonic on it's sticker.

Where did you source the installer for your OS? Did you recreate the bootable USB installer to rule out a corrupt installer? If I were you, I'd disconnect all drives except for the one you intend to install the OS onto.

The PSU is about 4 years old, I built the PC in 2020.

The bootable USB stick was created directly from the official Windows website, but the issue is that even after replacing all storage media with new ones, I still can't install Windows no matter what I try. This leads me to believe that it might be another component causing the issue.

I'm not really concerned about the data on the PC. I have already reformatted both the SSD and the hard drive in order to reinstall Windows from scratch, but nothing is working.

How many drives are active on your PC? There are certain procedures for a windows installation. Is there another drive that has windows?
At the moment, I only have a brand new SSD that I brought last week. I'm trying to set up a new system on it, so I don't think there are any drivers or any other drives with Windows installed.

You think? What does file manager tell you? If there is a second drive, the windows installation could be shared between the two. Is there or not a second or third data drive installed?

Since you can't get into file manager.... I am tying to ask you if you are positive there is only one drive installed in your system. You are physically inspect the unit visually for drive layout. It makes a BIG difference!

If you are positive only one drive is installed. Choosing the correct mediacreationtool is important. USB version, clean or re-installation.

Create Windows 11 Installation Media

f you want to perform a reinstall or clean install of Windows 11 on a new or used PC, use the option download the media creation tool to make a bootable USB or DVD.

Hello! This never-ending repair cycle frequently indicates driver or hardware issues. First, check sure everything is operating at stock speed (no overclocking) and update your BIOS to the most recent version. Try using a new USB device to install Windows (reformat the disk). Check the motherboard or try a different PSU if the screen still bluescreens. I wish you luck!
