Hey guys,
I'm running four monitors on a 4gb r9 290 vapor-x, not using eyefinity. Resolution-wise my main one is a 2560x1440, i have a 1680x1050, a 1360x768 tv and i recently added a 1920x1200. However, after adding it, I've been getting "stutters" for lack of a better word, almost like lag spikes. When gaming they seem to happen every 5 minutes or so, lasting about a second. At times I feel they happen less often when I'm not gaming. Of course, it could just be my imagination, because its not as dramatic when it happens while browsing Windows (running 64bit win 7 ultimate btw).
I find it interesting that when the problem happens while I'm typing something it stops the text input for a second and then the pc "catches up" to what I've typed. However, whenever I type something containing the letter "M" during the "stutter" it always shows an input of two "M"-s, even though I've only typed one. It does it only with the letter "M". And it's not the keyboard, tried two others as well. Pretty weird.
The stuttering seems to disappear, or at least pops up less frequently, when i unplug the newly installed monitor. Cant really check what unplugging the other ones will do because all their cables as well as the pc box are part of an installation and it will take a lot of effort to do any fiddling.
All ideas on how to remedy the situation would be greatly appreciated! While the rather obvious solution is to live without the new monitor I'm afraid I really need it :C
Thanks in advance!
