Question PC Stutters or Freezes every 30 seconds

Hi Community,

The past couple months my PC has been either stuttering or freezing every 30 seconds to a minute. It is becoming unbearable just to do common tasks, much less gaming. I know there are probably a thousand things that may be causing this, but wonder if there a some simple things I can do to help this issue. Specs below. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

• Memory: 16.0 GiB
• Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50 Ghz x 8
• OS type: 64-bit
• Disk: 1 TB
• Monitor: LG 34UC80-B monitor (4K/3440 x 1440)
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
• PSU: SeaSonic 650 W 80+

You can do a simple sfc /scannow to check your files. You can check to see if your bios needs updating. Or you can go into bios and under exit set/reset your bios to original/optimal settings. You can check to see if your gpu drivers need updating and any other hardware drivers. You can try setting your windows power setting to high performance.

What speed and type do you have now? Are you looking to go to 32gb? Something like this and it is on the qvl list for your motherboard.
