So I built this PC a bit over a year ago and it's run perfectly up until recently. I was in the middle of playing a game when it suddenly turned off. No shutdown no blue screens just instant power cut. It now will not turn back on save for a brief flicker of power if I leave it around 10mins between attempts. I had a search around and tried the paper clip test (whilst the rest of the PSU cables remained connected to the motherboard) and it switched up just fine all fans running various component lights on. When I reconnected the 24 pin back to the motherboard however I was back to the flicker of power before it turned off. Please help, am I right in assuming the issue lies with the 24 pin connection on the motherboard (which would mean a whole new board is required)?

Here's a link to my build: http://

Thanks in advance :)
