I was running GTA V at 110 fps average 1080p, but then suddenly when i got on it was running at like 60-70 fps but cinebench scores are still the same tried restarting pc clearing cmos, turning power management to high performance switching off and on XMP (with minor FPS increase from XMP on) GPU usage is 100% in game and is 60 degreese i dont understand how its that low in degreese while 100% and cpu is staying at around 40-50 ish % usage at like mid 70's degreese. I dont know if the performance dip is because i did one of those auto oc's in bios just to see how much it would change mhz but i didnt even boot into windows with the oc i just went into the bios and reset settings back to normal and then booted the pc.

Specs: i7-7700k, gtx 970 asus strix z270f mobo, 16gb 3000mhz corsair vengeance ram.

Any help on how to fix my fps would be greatly appreciated ty in advance

Mine did the same thing, but it was after using it work about 6 months. I did a restart without removing files to where it just removes programs and settings. That fixed it up, but was a pain to install every single program back. If you updated the PC before this started happening then I would roll back the update.

I didnt update the pc before this happened but are u saying that the only way to fix it is to format my hdd?

No you don't have to format at all. You can reset your HDD and it keeps your files such as pictures, videos, documents, etc. But removes your programs and settings. If you go to settings, the go to update and security, then on the left click recovery, you will see a option that says reset this PC. Read over what it says and try to see if that fixes your problem.

I will try it after i have tried all posible options.

So i get to keep everything or just pictures and stuff? Because i really dont have anything important like that.

Usually it keeps everything, but it takes a little for storage because you have another OS on it.

I might make a new post saying that my gpu is underperforming because i did a 3Dmark test and i got around 11k gpu score while others get more around 13k-14k
