I just build new PC with these used/secondhand parts:

Motherboard: Asrock A320M-HDV
BIOS: p 4.70, all default no overclock
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: AMD RX 580 8gb
PSU: CoolerMaster MWE GOLD 550w
SSD: 500MB
HDD: 2TB
RAM: 2 x 8gb 3200mhz (new)

For 1 month everything is fine, but now my pc suddenly turn off when playing PUBG, but it will also suddenly turn off when I'm not gaming. It just turns off without shutting down Windows.
To turn it on again I have to unplug the cable and switch off the PSU, wait about 10 second or more, and then PC can turn on again.

BUT, it will still turn off again, and this time is quicker than before.

because it just turn off without any warning, dont have any info or data or log what happen before turn off, the pc even didn't have time to save the game recording
so i stream to youtube and it show my temperature are normal before the turn off happens

CPU 55°C 66%
GPU 67°C 31%

i try to blow fan to my open pc case, my room has air conditioner which is on but pc still turns off.

i try to benchmark using
Valley benchmark
heaven benchmark
Unigine Superposition
i set to 4K Optimal, even my gpu should be only 1080p

to put load on my gpu

cinebench r23 to put load on my CPU

and furmark to see temperature max or hope my pc turn off
max temperature stable at 80°C and no turn off

when i benchmark use 3 software there's no turn off
eventho i believe the load and temperature are higher than playing game

is there any i can do ? to find the problem ?
yes i have plan to replace used part to the new one, but i cannot replace all of them at same time
for now i need find the problem and change to new part if need it
hope it just software issue

first suspect is PUBG, because this happen when i play that.
but turns out, when i stop playing this game and use it for watching youtube, and this issue still occurred

i already check at Reliability History and it just show "The previous system shutdown at 14:25:18 on ‎13/‎03/‎2024 was unexpected."

What you can do is look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for any error codes, warnings, or even informational events just before or at the time of the shutdowns.

Start with Reliability History/Monitor. Much more end user friendly and the timeline presentation can reveal patterns.

Event Viewer requires more time and effort to navigate and understand.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

BIOS: p 4.70, all default no overclock
You have BIOS updates pending to the latest

RAM: 2 x 8gb 3200mhz (new)
You state this to be a new part? If so, what were you working with? As for your ram, is X.M.P/D.O.C.P enabled in BIOS?

yes i aware there's version 10.08 already
https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/A320M-HDV/index.asp#BIOS

but when i see at CPU support list
i see my CPU should use P4.70 version
https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/A320M-HDV/index.asp#CPU

did i do wrong ?

and for RAM, i cant find X.M.P/D.O.C.P menu
but i set my ram to auto, it show my ram run at 2660 (i forgot) maybe because my CPU support memori only to 2933

Hello everyone

my pc turn off in the middle of game (short time) or normal use (long time), i tried running some benchmark to my GPU and CPU
nothing happened

there is a sign it come from PSU, because every time this happens, i have to switch off the PSU, unplug cable, give it a time, and plug cable back, switch back and then my PC can turn on again

i read some article online, it is safety pin/trigger from PSU, so other components not affected

until today...
i think the culprit is my HDD, but i'm not sure, i need input from people who know more about PC build or PC Hardware

my assumptions come from when i tried with another PSU, my PC run fine
turns out i wasn't connecting to my second HDD when using another PSU
i tested with same thing, using my old PSU, my PC runs fine
i found the HDD cable bent so much it start change color to white (the cable), I started to feel confident this was the problem

i change the cable but the problem still happen 😕

FYI... if i access that Drive for edit video, copy cut paste file, watch video, my pc not turn off

OK so what is the "correlation" between playing game without HDD it's ok, while with HDD my pc turn off, when access the drive not give the problem

MAYBE, because when playing games, my game recorder run on background, and the path for storage is my second HDD
just maybe, there's some bad sector, bad circuit, low power from PSU or maybe my AMD Adrenaline Recorder has bad driver for recording, or maybe bad/wrong speed or maybe suddenly spike voltage from my HDD when recording video

or something i don't know, to trigger my PSU to Shut OFF the system

this is also happen when i connect the USB for internet tethering use my phone, and the phone draw some power to charge the battery at same time

HDD 3.5 1TB
i take from disassembly my external HDD
it's OLD kind, the kind that needs its own power, it come with electric plugs

[WD Mybook 1tb], not mine but some kind like this

What did I do wrong ? did i miss something ? how must i do ?
