Hello everyone,

So recently I have had my gaming station randomly crash on me and it really takes the joy from me. I feel like I have tried almost everything, so I really would hope that there was someone that could come up with a solution.

Sometimes I can play for an hour without my computer crashing, but knowing that it could crash any time soon, is a dealbreaker to me. I can no longer have any conversations with people online without having my computer disconnect in the middle of it all.

Whenever I boot up the computer, there is a possibility that it just restarts or shuts down 2 of my 3 monitors and leaves one blinking before it restarts. There are also times where it gives me a blue screen of the code “VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE” and in system logs I get the critical error of “nvlddmkm.sys” before restarting/shutting down.

I have tried the following:
  • Removed the GPU driver file in safe boot, replaced with an older version
  • Removed and also updated drivers
  • Changed all battery options
  • System scans
  • Cleaned components
  • Fresh install

It was all newly built about two years ago, so I am rather sad and hope that there is a solution to this, so I don’t have to spend a lot on another rig.

Any help is appreciated! and I will post some details about my rig here https://pastebin.com/336ptHse , please let me know if I should upload anything else 🙂

If a critical piece of hardware, such as the CPU, GPU, or RAM, fails, it can cause your PC to shut down unexpectedly.
