Hello. Recently I've got my cousin's PC with Gigabyte H55M-S2, i3 540, 2x4GB RAM Patriot DDR3 1600MHz and HDD 1TB Seagate. And there is a problem: it runs ONLY Win XP 32BIT. If i try to install Win Vista/7/8/10 32/64bit, it hangs on windows flag. Even if I connect this hdd to my main pc and install windows, then connect to the second one, it still hangs on ,,Starting Windows''. Even win xp 64bit doesn't start. I've got to run Win 7 PE 32bit, and it works... but 8/10PE not. On Win 10PE after somewhile it shows bluescreen: Error_kernel_security_check_failed. I've resetted bios, updated it, resetted CMOS, changed RAM and PSU, but nothing. 2 years ago I was owner of this MOBO, and i've got 7/8/10 32/64bit and it worked perfect.

Solution
" i cant run any system without 2 ram sticks"

Then clearly this is a hardware issue, either your mobo or you are placing the RAM module in the wrong slot when trying to boot with only one.
Windows 8-10 need a change in the BIOS settings so that's probably the reason they've failed (that kernel security error leads me to think that), so I'd say that maybe your Win 7 64bits dvd was scratched, if you used the pendrive alternative make sure to use Rufus instead of windows usb download tool, it doesn't work with all mobos as intended.

boot from windows 10 usb installer go into dos mode and use disk tools to wipe the drive and the mbr. in the mbr if there any files left from windows xp it cause windows not to boot right. in the bios make sure sata ports set to achi mode if it has that mode. another issue can be a bad ram stick. try using one ram stick see if windows installs ok.

I cant do it, because it stuck on windows flag... In BIOS settings i have set it to ACHI mode. And there is one strange thing: i cant run any system without 2 ram sticks, on one stick it beeps every second. I've also checked other rams (Kingston), but same.

I'm using usb made with rufus. How I can install chipset drivers? I can boot only XP from drive and 7 from flash USB. Other systems installations hang at ,,Starting Windows'' or blue flag (win 10).
