Pc turns off while playing SIMS 3

Hello, I've recently been having a problem with The Sims 3. Whenever I get on the game I can play for a good 15 minutes then the Computer completely shuts off. No restart, no blue screen, just off in the blink of an eye. If someone can tell me why this is happening it would be much obliged.

I'm pretty sure my computer is well capable of playing the game, here are some specs.

Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6670 (ATI AIB)

CPU : AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+

Motherboard : MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD MS-7125 (Socket 939)\

And while copying this when I went to the program called Speccy and it sid my AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ was (98 degrees Celsius) and it's bright red So that could have a factor I know overheating is a problem. If that is the reason how df can I cool it down 😱 oh and my Graphics Card is at a steady 37 degrees Celsius

So please tell me how to fix this issue

Your CPU is overheating. You need to reapply thermal compound and reseat the heatsink. Here's a video how to do it:

If what the above person said, doesn't work, try cleaning out your fan of dust and maybe get a cooling system if that's an option. Good luck.

Thats more than just a bit to hot so yes try reseating the cooler with new thermal paste.

The Athlon 64 runs very hot. You need to reseat the Heatsink and get some Arctic silver thermal compound. You should really upgrade your CPU. I would think that the GPU would bottleneck.
