Question Pc turns on for few secs then stops + loop

So i left my pc running one night then i woke up finding it shut down with a burning smell, whenever i tried turning it on the fans spin for a sec then shut down so i assumed it was the cpu, removed it from the socket and found out that a pin was broken from the socket, since i couldnt fix it i bought a new mobo, installed the cpu and the same thing happened, fans spin for a sec then stops. After a few tries i reinstalled the cpu and now the fans spin for like 5 secs then stops then do that over and over. Right now im assuming the ram sticks are the problem, i have two and tried all combinations but it looks like theyre both damaged. Now if i get new ram and it worked should i be worried about the cpu, whether it might be damaged or not. Btw its an i7 4790.

Where is the burning smell coming from, just changing parts is not what to do.

I think it was from the cpu area, but now there is no burning smell after turning on.
