So, 2 days ago I built my PC, it was working fine until yesterday night when I decided to plug in my HDD and un-plug my DVD (cause I only had 2 sata-cables). But now the PC won't turn on. The only time its on (for 10 milliseconds basically), is when I have plugged out the power supply, plug it in, and press the power supply power switch. Boom, it on for a short period of time (fans start, GPU lights up etc.) then it turns off. The power button on the PC doesn't work. Note that everything was working before I unplugged the DVD.

How can I fix this?

Solution

basic troubleshooting it is then. Ground yourself before working in the PC. try to boot after each step. reground before each step
1. reseat every cable in the case, unplug and plig back in
2. reseat the RAM
3. unplug the SATA cables
4 remove the RAM. listen for beep codes
