Hi all...
Note: long story ahead plz help 😉
So I build my rig Christmas Eve last year and everything work great until last month I added a second hdd and and it froze file explorer when I tried to view the HDD... So u pulled out the data cable while was on and continue use my business and shutdown properly. Next day I just powers on for split second and back off. So after i started disconnecting everything thing I could with only the cpu in and ram(reseated ram), it still did same ting. Got frustrated and connected back everything and left it unplugged for few hours then I power it on and it worked. Ait problem solved. Now after I left it overnight with the PC plugged in and next day it did the same thing. So I just left it unplugged for a few hours AGAIN and it worked normal. Now I just unplug it from my ups when I'm not using it and it worked great AGAIN on till I added a new 80mm case fan this morning. I install the fan and power it on to make sure everything worked then shut it down like I normally would. Then later today (right now) it booted up to windows and it shutdown randomly. Tried turning it back on and back to square 1... Will not turn on with same story.
So i know there's no power short in the case as it works normal sometimes and it's not ram.
I suspect it's the cmos, some capacitor, fuse like tingy on the mobo (I'm no electrician) or the psu.
I know the question is asked alot around here but I haven't found a solution to my problem as it's bit weird 🙁
System specs:
Cpu; I7 8700k
Gpu; Aorus GTX 1060 6gb
Mobo; Gigabyte z370xp sli gaming
Psu; Seasonic FOCUS Plus 750W 80+ Gold full modular
Ram; Ballistix Sport LT 16GB dual rank DDR4
Plz ask for any more info if needed.
Thanks

Okay, have you perhaps tried clearing the CMOS battery when the problem occurs instead of unplugging it?
Well I have my ups power surge connected to same socket and it worked last two weeks fine so always disconnect the plugged whenever I'm not using the PC.

But if you used a different socket on the power surge or another socket in general does it show these symptoms?

I sometimes connect to the same socket on ups and it worked normal as there's two available socket out of 4 and 4 that works with the battery.
Update: I left it unplugged for bout 45 min when writing this and it booted up normal and now it can continue playing need for speed payback.
But still I don't know what's causing it. Could it be a bad cmos or a short overload on psu when start up sometime?

Do the fans still spin? Sounds kind of like PSU failure to me. Do you still have your warranty?

When this happens all fan spins for that second then shuts off. Have to understand plug and replug before it does the same thing. But all fan works including the psu fan works when the system powers on fine. There's a hybrid switch that enable or disable the fan and limits the psu to 300w when in hybrid mode. Right now hybrid mode is off. It have to be something is over charged when it's plugged in overtime. :/

Solution
Nope haven't tried it..
Now I have a next prob...
I powered it up normal and it boot to windows, started playing game about 10-15 min then it shutdown randomly, while I was gaming, then it turned back on and booted back into windows and I left it sitting on for bout 5 min then it shutdown down and turned on again. It did that about 3 times until I shut it down from windows...
It's really f***ing up and I don't know how to start to fix as I have no clue now. I don't think it's software wise.
Any idea now :/

Not sure if that will work as my system instantly shutdown completely not like a normal reboot so the software may not work. But I run bout 30 min yesterday gaming and it didn't last 15 min today. I will test it out again later and update to suit.

The problem seems to be solved. Though it was a faulty cmos battery so I took it out and went to buy one returned 2 hours later and reinstalled the same original battery it see if it was indeed the battery but it turned out that the bios just wanted resetting.
So it worked great the past two days with no power on and random shutdown issues and it's working like a new pc should.
Thanks for ur help! 😉
