I built this computer 4-5 months ago and there has been no problems since. Today when I got home from vacation the computer turned on like normal when I pushed the button on the case but none of my peripherals would turn on. For a fraction of a second, the backlight flashes on my keyboard then goes away. I know power is being sent out to the USB ports because the LED strip that is connected to one that runs along my desk is working fine.

When I turn the PC on, there is no beep. I don’t recall there ever being one, but if there was there isn’t now. Looking at the EZ Debug lights when you turn it on, the top CPU light comes on for a second, then the one below it for the DRAM joins it for like 4 seconds, then they both turn off, do the same thing, and turn off again but for good. This happens every time the PC is started.

Not sure how to but I put a screw driver in the CMOS pins to short it out, didn’t work. Took out that battery, and put it back in after like 20 mins, didn’t work...

I really don’t want to have to take apart my whole PC but I guess I would if I had to. I don’t see how the CPU could have became unplugged cause it was snapped down tight from the beginning.

I also tried taking out both ram sticks, placed one in each slot by itself every time and nothing.

Any help would be great!! I will be stalking this thread because I need this thing fixed.

I took out the gpu, took out the mobo and reseated the cpu (all pins were perfect). I also placed electric tape on some places on the back that could somehow maybe touch the back of the mobo (saw this solution in a guide). Put it all back together and it’s having the same problem again. I unplugged all of my ram sticks, and when I turned it on there wasn’t the three beebs I’ve heard you’re supposed to hear when you try to boot without ram, so I’m guessing that my mobo is shot..

Can someone confirm this? I wanna get some answers before I RMA.
