Question PC upgrade question

My setup is like 5 years old.

My specs:

ASUS PRIME Z390-P Bundkort - Intel Z390 - Intel LGA1151 socket - DDR4 RAM - ATX
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz 32GB*

CORSAIR Hydro Series H150i PRO Liquid CPU Cooler
Corsair RM750x 750W PSU

Corsair Obsidian 750D - Kabinet - Full tower

ASUS 25" Skærm ROG Swift PG259QN 360Hz IPS - black

I play CS2 and Escape from tarkov.

As you guys can see I got a 360hz monitor and playing in 1080p.

Right now i cant even get like 350 fps in cs2 even in low settings. (getting like 200-250 regarding map and place)

Will it be worth updgrade my GPU to 4070 Ti super or will my "old" setup be a bottleneck for that card? (Should I wait for the 5000 series to come?)

My "dream" is to be so close to 360 fps average in 1080p so I get the most out of my monitor because it was expensive!

What is your suggestions on upgrading my setup or is it a totally new PC for better performance?

GPU is not usually the limiting factor when you are targeting very high FPS at competitive settings.

You would be better off upgrading your core CPU/Motherboard/RAM to something new. GPU upgrade could also be done if desired and you like to play other titles at higher graphics settings.

Ryzen 7800X3D or Intel 13700k/14700k would be good CPU choices. AMD you would need DDR5, with Intel you could re-use your DDR4 with the right motherboard, but 32GB of DDR5 will only set you back about $100.

From benchmarks for cs2 the 7800x3d is the best you can get since the game can use the extra cache.

Your games use few cores/threads.
To see if a gpu upgrade would be good, try this simple test:
Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
This makes the graphics card loaf a bit.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.
I am guessing that cpu is your limiter, particularly the single thread performance.
Run the cpu-z bench and look at the single thread performance score.
It should be around 680:

If you have not overclocked, it will be a bit less.

Any cpu upgrade is going to need a new motherboard.

In order to reuse your DDR4 ram, buy a LGA1700 DDR4 ram based motherboard.
Probably a B760 chipset.
A decent one will be $150.

There is a continuum in price/performance with Intel processors and Ryzen also for that matter.
Look for a chip with good single thread performance. All current processors are going to have sufficient cores.
I like the new 14th gen non K processors like the I5-14500.

It scores 795 on cpu-Z.
It is a 65w processor and comes with a very good laminar flow air cooler.
After 5 years, your aio is due for replacement.
