Hi,

I am having a PC with below configuration for rendering and 3d design. Let me know the possible upgrade.

Processor -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz Socket 2011 LGA
Motherboard - Intel DX79TO X79 rev 05
Memory - Total =32GB DDR3 (8GB X 4No) --- (King Max FLFG45F-D8KM9)
Graphics Card - NVDIA K2000
HDD = 3HDD + 1 SSD ( HITACHI 1 TB+2X SEAGATE 2TB + 250 KINGSTON SSD)
Power SUPPLY - recommend me required watt, i am not sure of present watt of it)

Please tell me how to upgrade this PC for better performance

Depends on what GPU you will get. Chances are a 3rd Gen CPU might bottleneck anything over a GTX 1060 (it might even bottleneck a 1060 already).

Also you're motherboard doesn't support DDR4 RAM and at this day and age, it would be "un-wise" not to get DDR4 RAM.

My advice would be to check if your CPU will bottleneck the GPU of your choice (I think we spoke about an NVIDIA Quadro since it's for design) or not, that way when you have a bit more cash in the future, you can upgrade your CPU, Mobo, RAM
If you're doing rendering and 3D design, I would recommend prioritizing CPU performance instead of going for a powerful high-end GTX 1080 Ti as they range from 700$ to over 1000$. In theory, you don't have even need more than a 1060 6Gb but I'm assuming that you will also be playing some games, which is why you asked.

However, with 1,500$ you should be able to get something quite nice. Lemme see if I can come up with some for you. I am going to go for Ryzen since it is going to be fore Rendering over Gaming. You definitely won't get 64Gb of RAM though, plus you won't need it anyways.

Do you need water-cooling?

This is the best build for what you need, and it fits within your budget. I didn't take storage as you can simply use the one you already have. You could even keep your case depending on what you already have.

It's already in 4x16Gb configuartion so 64Gb of RAM total.

That graphics card is sufficient for you to render videos in 4K so it can handle your software just fine. They're also made for workstations so they are optimal and better than GTX series GPUs.

I would recommend going for Ryzen for workstations, they're superior multi-core and multi-threaded CPUs are better for workstations due to applications performing better with multi-core systems. You will get faster rendering times despite the lower clock speeds in comparison to their CPU counterpart (i7-8700k I believe). Plus, they are cheaper and also comes with an included heat sink.

I mean keeping the motherboard and cpu same will upgrading the RAM and GPU alone will give performance?
