PC Upgrade Suggestions

I currently have:
Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-UD3P
CPU: FX 6300
GPU: R9 270X
I want to upgrade but i am unsure whether to stay with AMD or start again and use Intel, and what to change?

Then I recommend going for Intel. Because Ryzen has just entered the market and most of the present games are not optimised for Ryzen but for Intel CPUs. It will take time for Devs to port them to Ryzen

There are no good gaming cpu upgrades for your motherboard.

And... your gpu is very weak.

Today, a modest budget will favor Intel of some sort.
That might be as little as a I3-7300.

If you play fast action games, a graphics upgrade will be easier.
Perhaps a GTX1060 which can be easily carried forward to a new cpu.
