Hey guys, since 2000 i've done myself my computer.
I got a case for like 10 years and i love it. Lately i've asked myself if i should make a new upgrade, but before as usual i come here to ask the oppinion of the gamers , pros, etc.
So this is my system:

Case: Nox Coolbay HX
Motherboard: Msi Gaming 7
Processor : intel i7 HD 4790K OC
Ram: kingston Fury hyperx 4gb 1600mhz DDR3
SSD : Kingston SV 300 120gb
Hdd: 500gb really old
Cooler: Intel BXTS13X
Graphics: Gtx 970 Gaming 4G 4gb x4
Custom burn DVD
Custom Card Reader

My Monitor is an HP old one also..

I do play most GTA V!

I was thinking to upgrade the gtx, monitor and the hdd, what is your oppinion guys. Worth it?

If you play any FPS games, I'd make sure it's 144hz+. If graphics is the most important, then I would go with 1440p/4k G-sync. 1440p+144hz+Gsync is my favorite atm, it's great for everything and it can max out everything.
Also, it really depends on the game. For e-sport games you're completely fine with a GTX 970 (Overwatch, CSGO, LoL, etc.).

This is an approximate list for AAA-gaming:
GTX 1070 = 1080p100, 1440p60
GTX 1080 = 1080p144, 1440p100
GTX 1080 ti = 1440p144, 4k60
Depends on your expectations. Additional storage is usually handy. A graphics card upgrade will allow more detail. Monitor? Depends on the resolution, size and refresh rate.

I would consider more or new RAM. 4GB isn't a lot for quite a few modern games.

Admirable
Deppends, which GPU are you planning to get? The 970 is still a pretty decent card for 1080p and a 1060 isn't worth getting if compared it's price/performance alongside your 970.

A monitor is a nice choice, but won't affect much your rig performance, but if you currently crappy one it's a great choice.

Are you running out of space lately? 500Gb is a bit small for today standards if you download and keep lots of files. I'd suggest getting a 1Tb HDD, but it won't do much to your PC performance as well.

But one thing i do highly recommend is getting more RAM 4GB is very very little, i can't even know how you play GTA V on it. you can either pick two more 2X4GB sticks, or sell this one you already have and get 2x8GB for a great amount of 16GB.

Depending on how many games you are playing and how much storage you need, I'd consider getting a 250-500GB SSD for game storage. Looking at the "Loading..." screen feels like ages on an HDD. For monitor; I'm not sure if it's worth to just get another 1080p60. I'd probably try to save up for a better GPU + 144hz/1440p/4k monitor.

As i said i play more GTA, assassins creed CS GO and i think im doing fine with an 970 atm. So what is the best monitor atm for 1440p+144hz+Gsync? Which do one do you have?
